“Worship the Lord with gladness, come before him with joyful songs!”

Psalm 100:2

Worshipping God is central to who we are at Salem & St. James. We are truly blessed to come together as the Body of Christ and glorify our Lord through the reading of scripture, prayer, song, and a Biblical message.

Sunday Services

Salem gathers Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. St. James gathers at 11:00 a.m. Occasionally, we meet together for a combined worship service. Holy Communion is offered the first Sunday of each month at both churches. Come casual and bring the whole gang - we are family friendly churches!

Special Services

In addition to our weekly Sunday services, we offer a number of special services throughout the year, including Ash Wednesday, Holy Week, Easter Sunday, All Saints Day, Veterans Day, and Christmas Eve. Additionally, St. James celebrates the Lord’s Acre in November (see below), and Salem has their annual Christmas tree lighting the first Saturday in December (visit our Fellowship page). These special traditions have been part of our churches for decades!

St James Lord’s Acre

This “homecoming” service is held annually the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Dating back to the 1950s, St. James began this tradition by encouraging church members to donate profits from an acre of their harvest to help build a Fellowship Hall. The endeavor was a huge success and has been a staple of St. James ever since! Even though the Lord’s Acre includes a special offering that goes to important needs of our church, it is really a time for members past and present to visit their beloved church and give thanks to God for His faithful provision!
